Hard working and determined
Brought up her son and daughters
Grandsons and granddaughters
Instilling in them values
That they may have morals
Acceptable in society.
Humorous and wise the old lady was
And close to her
Always the grand children were,
Villagers envied,
But Young women admired.
Struck down by illness
Herself, she no longer was;
Could not walk nor stand,
Even crawling not with ease!
Slowly death came
And snatched our grand mother
A great mother!
